Band Members

The multiple-award winning Dylan Whitney Band brings great excitement and high-energy to the stage with every performance. They are forging ahead a next-generation Tulsa Sound that brings a taste of Blues incorporating all styles. The band is fronted by 21-year-old blues guitar phenom, Dylan Whitney, vocalist Chelsea Gann, Chris Matthews on drums, Wes Atkinson on bass, and Michael McClure on rhythm. The band prides itself on bringing a high energy performance, showcasing some of the best musicians that Oklahoma has to offer. This is one band you don’t want to miss!

Dylan Whitney

Chelsea Gann 30 years old-from a small town in Oklahoma called Liberty Mounds. She grew up singing in church and began singing the National Anthem at public events early in high school. Over the years she has sang the National Anthem at many different large events. She has been blessed to get to bring her take on the National Anthem to sold out arenas such as the BOK center in Tulsa, Ok and the Chesapeake Energy arena for Oklahoma City Thunder. Chelsea was also featured on season 10 of NBCs ‘The Voice’ as a competitor on team Christina. She is currently the lead singer for the “Dylan Whitney Band”.

Chris Matthews, drummer for the Dylan Whitney Band, has been playing for 39 years, and professionally for the last 14 years. After spending time in Rock and Roll cover bands and playing Big-Band Jazz, he has found a home in the Blues world. He has been with the award-winning DWB for 4 years as a drummer, and also as a music arranger.

Wes Atkinson grew up in Tulsa and received a bachelors degree in music performance. He is currently a middle school orchestra director for the Broken Arrow district and enjoys teaching and leading rehearsals daily. He is a performers as well as an educator, playing musicals with Tulsa Project, Theatre, teaching private lessons, and performing at festivals with the Dylan Whitney Band. He is married to his lovely wife Beth and has three little daughters who love to come see him play.

Jake Blodgett was born and raised in the Tulsa area. He has always found himself in employment that is challenging and involved working with his hands. He has been fascinated with the guitar since his father bought him his first one. His love for blues came about when he heard a Stevie Ray Vaughan song for the first time at a young age. He started playing as a teenager in church and that led him to playing with a few different cover bands. He now plays rhythm guitar with The Dylan Whitney Band. He loves how his journey as a guitar player has led him to playing such amazing blues music with such great people.
